Located on the banks of the Arno river, Ponte Vecchio, with its three arches about 30 meters high, is one of the symbols of the city of Florence, but is also known worldwide because it is one of the few inhabited bridges. It was built in 1345 and, for this reason, it is the oldest stone bridge in Europe. It is considered to be the most romantic place in Florence due to the hundreds of locks that have been placed on the bridge in order to symbolize love. In the centre of the bridge you can also admire the famous sculpture of Benvenuto Cellini.
